PORTRAIT OF CHARLOTTE COHEN: ARTISTIC DIRECTOR - GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Posted by JOD Paris on

Can you introduce yourself ?

I'm Charlotte, CEO & Artistic Director of Braand Studio, a Web3 design studio.

And above all... the happy designer of JOD's branding and packaging <3!

What 3 adjectives could define you?

Creative, empathetic and determined.

What is your greatest pride?

My 4 year old son Raphaël.

What is the most important value that you would like to pass on to your children?

Kindness is an underrated value!

What makes you feel good?

Lots of things but here are three:

  • Go for a walk on the banks of the Seine or stroll through an exhibition.
  • Being quiet at home to draw with music
  • And super important: Have a beautiful manicure!

What moments do you like to share with your family?

Accomplice moments.

They are almost everywhere: a dinner together, the laughter during my son's bath or even our cuddles before he goes to sleep!

What would you like to achieve that is more ecological?

Buy less clothes

How do you see yourself in 15 years?

Serene and proud of the progress made, with my family and at the head of a business which is developing in France and elsewhere.

What advice would you give to the person you were 20 years ago?

Dreams don't have to just be dreams.

What is a typical day in your life?

She starts early to get my son ready for school.

At 8:15 a.m. I start my working day: usually in the morning so as not to be interrupted and the executive in the afternoon. Everything is punctuated by video sessions or physical meetings until 6 p.m. I am off for my son from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and then I often follow up with professional events.

What makes you beautiful?

Take care of myself, sleep and hydrate properly.

What is your essential beauty routine?

A large glass of water in the morning.

What do you have in your purse?

Lip balm, my wallet, my keys, chewing gum and my airpods.

What made you want to start a business?

I come from a family of entrepreneurs so it seemed obvious to me, but the real trigger was the internship I did at the end of my studies, in Israel. I arrived at an advertising agency that was being set up. The offices were in the entrepreneur's living room, there were two of us and I could hear him walking around like crazy, without moving from his desk all day. After 5 months he signed a contract with Adidas Israel... I came home and told myself that I wanted to experience that!

What is your guilty pleasure?

Put my phone on the moon (do not disturb).

And cheese... my passion!

What are your plans ?

Develop the creative studio that I created with my two friends and associates. We launched into a very tech environment: Web3. This is the evolution of the internet as we know it today. It's a great challenge for us because everything has to be created: Branding, NFT, Metaverse, immersive events, AI...

One of the studio's internal projects is to bring together the first creative community of the future: Z-MONSTER. This project was designed for designers who want to use new tools. We create events, ebooks for them, offer gifts, etc. to support them and bring together a pool of talent ready to work with us on all studio topics.

What makes you strong?

My family and friends who are like family.

What would you like to change on earth for your children?

I campaigned for 8 years in an association which fights against racism and anti-Semitism. It seems to be an old cause but it is far from being achieved unfortunately.

What is your definition of beauty?

Elegance.

What does being natural mean to you?

It's about showing yourself without artifice, remaining a simple person.

Your biggest regret ?

For not believing in myself sooner.

Your wildest dream?

Buy a large mansion with a swimming pool in a beautiful area of Paris. That would be really crazy!
